The Kansas City Chiefs took a two-point lead over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football when Patrick Mahomes scored a touchdown with wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins just before halftime.

Although the Chiefs’ offense struggled to get into a rhythm early in the game, Mahomes got going on Kansas City’s final drive of the second quarter and Hopkins took advantage of his opportunity to make an impact in the red zone.

Before Mahomes’ touchdown pass to Hopkins, the Chiefs had only made field goals against Los Angeles’ stingy defense, and Kansas City appeared to be faltering.

Fans can expect Mahomes to continue keeping an eye on Hopkins when Kansas City is in scoring position.

The Chiefs will look to extend their lead in the second half and try to secure another AFC West title.
