The San Francisco 49ers dominated the Chicago Bears with a 38-13 victory on Sunday. With the win, the 49ers improved to 6-7 on the season.

Despite being sidelined with a possible ankle sprain, rookie running back Isaac Guerendo amassed 128 total yards and two touchdowns in his first career start.

Meanwhile, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy powered up the Bears’ defense with 325 passing yards and two touchdown passes of 7 and 16 yards to receiver Jauan Jennings.

Unfortunately, results elsewhere meant San Francisco was unable to gain ground in the NFC West chase.

The Seattle Seahawks used 233 passing yards and a passing touchdown from quarterback Geno Smith and 134 rushing yards and two scores from running back Zach Charbonnet to win at Arizona 30-18.

With the win, Seattle remained sole owner of first place in the NFC West and improved to 8-5. The Seahawks have won four straight since their 20-17 victory over the 49ers at Levi’s Stadium on Nov. 17.

The loss dropped Arizona to 6-7 and a tie with San Francisco in the NFC West cellar.

In the biggest upset of the day, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Buffalo Bills 44-42. The Rams’ win at SoFi Stadium was the highest-scoring game of the season. Los Angeles and Buffalo combined for 902 yards of offense without a turnover or a quarterback sack.

Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen became the first player in NFL history with three passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns in a game while scoring at least two touchdowns each in his league-record fifth career game.

However, it wasn’t enough for Buffalo.

Los Angeles remained just one game away from Seattle, while San Francisco and Arizona are each two games behind with four games left to play.

San Francisco returns to action on Thursday when it hosts the Los Angeles Rams from Levi’s Stadium. The 49ers will then conclude with a trip to Miami on December 22nd, a home game against Detroit on December 30th and a final road game at Arizona on January 5th.
