Important background

Throughout his campaign and after his victory, Trump promoted other merchandise as the president-elect faces hundreds of millions of dollars in unpaid legal fees. He announced a line of “Trump watches” worth up to $100,000 in September, following $100 silver coins – sold at a higher price than the market value of silver – and 1,000 pairs of limited edition sneakers as well as Bibles with Trump logos worth $60, NFT cards hit the market. Shortly after Election Day, he sold a previous line of colognes and perfumes called “Victory” valued at $119. Last year, Trump offered a “mugshot edition” of digital trading cards that included a bonus offer for a piece of his suit from his Fulton County, Georgia, mugshot and dinner with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

How much did Trump make from his goods?

The majority of the revenue Trump earned from his merchandise came from his NFTS, which reportedly earned him about $7.2 million in royalties. Trump’s branded Bibles generated around $300,000 in sales, while his $399 sneakers sold out, earning another $399,000. His signed and unsigned “American Eagle” electric guitars sold out for $11,500 and $1,500 respectively, for a total sales of $4.6 million. It’s not immediately clear how much Trump made from his previous releases of watches or silver coins.
