Yesmadam: YesMadam reportedly asks employees if they are stressed and then fires them; Leaked letter goes viral

The associate director of digital marketing at IndiGo recently shared a leaked internal email that startup and Shark Tank-famous company YesMadam sent to its employees, a home salon and a tech-enabled beauty and wellness platform, in which it said they separated from the employees who reported significant stress during his investigation.

“We recently conducted a survey to understand your feelings about stress at work. Many of you expressed your concerns, which we greatly appreciate and respect. As a company committed to promoting a healthy and supportive work environment, we carefully considered the feedback. “To ensure no one remains stressed in the workplace, we have made the difficult decision to separate employees who have reported significant stress. The affected employees will receive further information separately.” The leaked letter was shared on LinkedIn.

Following the leak, several users on LinkedIn questioned the reason for the layoffs, saying: “This actually looks like a campaign that’s going to backfire, sigh.” “I hope this isn’t some kind of publicity stunt sake,” said another user. “These are the strangest, most illogical and unethical reasons for quitting/firing employees or whatever else HR will gloss over. Tell me this is a joke,” another user added.
