A first look at snow levels for Monday’s upcoming winter storm

The forecast for tonight:
We will still have some downslope winds that will give us some windy conditions. These winds are expected to strengthen after midnight and into Sunday morning. Temperatures in southern Colorado will drop into the low 30s for most of us. Closer to the mountains, temperatures are likely to drop to 20°C.

Colorado Springs Forecast: Low: 31; High: 61;
After midnight it will be windy and the minimum temperature will be below 30 degrees. Tomorrow we’ll head back into the 60s and windy conditions will likely continue. Take advantage of these warmer temperatures as a cold front will move through Sunday evening and temperatures will drop into Monday.

Pueblo Forecast: Low: 26; High: 64;
Tonight in Pueblo temperatures will drop to around 20 degrees, but we’ll warm up quickly for your Sunday. Pueblo has a chance of some snow Monday morning and is currently expected to get between a trace and 5 inches.

Canon City forecast: Low: 35; High: 62;
Temperatures will drop to 30°C in Canon City this evening, meaning you’ll be slightly warmer than surrounding towns. Highs will reach the 60s again tomorrow. Canon City has a good chance of getting some snow into Monday.

Woodland Park Forecast: Low: 25; High: 50;
It will be cold again in Woodland Park, with lows in the mid 20s. High temperatures tomorrow will be slightly cooler than surrounding cities with temperatures around 50 degrees. A cold front will move in Sunday evening, dropping temperatures overnight and giving us a chance of snow on Monday.

Tri Lakes Forecast: Low: 34; High: 55;
The Tri-Lakes area and Monument will see temperatures reach up to 30 degrees tonight and these downslope winds will help keep us “warmer” tonight. Tomorrow will be the last day of above average temperatures before a cold front pushes through and drops our highs back into the 40s and 30s.

Plains forecast: Low: Mid to low 20s; High: Lower 60s;
The Plains are in for another cold night with lows in the mid to lower 20s. Highs will climb back into the 60s tomorrow and this will be the last day of warmer temperatures before a cold front moves in and drops our temperatures.

Forecast for Walsenburg and Trinidad: Low: 32/30; High: 60/65;
Overnight lows will be in the lower 30s, but once the sun comes up tomorrow we will warm up pretty quickly. A cold front will move through on Sunday evening, bringing us colder temperatures and the possibility of snow on Monday morning.

Mountain Forecast: Low: mid-20s; High: 40s/50s;
The mountains will drop to 20°C this evening and tomorrow maximum temperatures will be in the 40° and 50° across the various mountain ranges. The mountains will have some chances of snow this week.

Advanced Forecast Forecast:
We are monitoring our next incoming system, which is currently off the coast of Alaska. This front will arrive Sunday evening and lower temperatures across southern Colorado. Starting Monday morning, snowfall will begin in the mountains and eventually spread to I-25. This system will move from north to south and most of us on I-25 are expecting at least an inch of snow.
