Nominations for the 82nd annual Golden Globe have been announced Evil, gladiator II, Anora, Emilia Perez, A Completely unknown, Baby reindeer, The bear, Shogun And Slow horses among the film and television projects in the mix.

Emilia Perez leads the film nominations with 10 The brutalist with seven and conclave with six. TV nominations are led by The bear with five and Just murders in the building And Shogun with four each.

The big-budget box office hits performed slightly worse than the leading festival films Evil, Gladiator II And Dune: Part Two He received eight nominations. The full list of nominees can be found below.

Kate Winslet (lee And The regime), Sebastian Stan (The apprentice And Another man), Selena Gomez (Emilia Perez And Just murders in the building) are all double nominees. Selena Gomez and Ariana Grande are both competing for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for any film. This is one of the few times musical stars will compete against each other at the Golden Globes. Lady Gaga and Queen Latifah were both nominated for best performance in a miniseries or television film in 2015.

With his eleventh nomination, Denzel Washington is the most nominated Black artist at the Golden Globes. Meanwhile, Hans Zimmer’s 16th nomination brings him closer to John Williams’ record of 24.

The 26 first-time nominees, who will be celebrated at a separate luncheon, include Grande, Pamela Anderson, Zoe Saldaña, Glen Powell, Jesse Plemons, Karla Sofia Gascon and Nikki Glaser, who will host the Golden Globes ceremony on January 5 at the Beverly Hilton .

Netflix and A24 are ahead on the film side with 13 and 12 nominations for distributors, respectively. Netflix also dominates on the TV side with 23 nominations, nine ahead of the next best, the combined HBO/Max.

Two new categories in the January 2024 show – Film and Box Office Performance and Best Achievement in Television Stand-up Comedy – also return for the 2025 ceremony, scheduled to air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in the US

This begins the first year of a five-year rights deal between the Globes and CBS after the 2024 ceremony aired on the network and drew 9.96 million viewers on Live+7, a nearly 50% increase over the 2023 show on NBC and the Globes corresponds. Largest audience since 2020.

Comedian Glaser will host the ceremony, which will also see Viola Davis receive the Globes’ Cecil B. DeMille Award for her career in film. Ted Danson receives the Carol Burnett Award in recognition of his television career.

The Golden Globes are produced by Dick Clark Productions, part of Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Deadline owner Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge.
