COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is on crash alert status as of 9:30 a.m. Monday morning, December 9th.

CSPD said the status is in effect until further notice.

According to CSPD, during the accident alert status, drivers are reminded that if they are involved in a traffic accident where no death or injury requires medical attention, no driver involved is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and that all drivers Driver’s license, registration and insurance information is present and no damage has occurred to public property such as a street sign or utility pole, drivers should exchange their information and the process for completing a counter report (cold report). follow. If damage to a vehicle requires a tow truck, a counter report can still be filed provided the above criteria are met. Motorists can either pick up a traffic accident report form at one of the police substations or go online at coloradosprings.gov.
