SALT LAKE CITY – AJ Dybantsa faces his decision.

Dybantsa will make his announcement to a national television audience.

The 6-foot-10 prospect, considered the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, will announce his decision at 8:30 a.m. (MST) on ESPN’s First Take, hosted by Stephen A. Smith.

Dybantsa’s final four schools include BYU, Alabama, Kansas and North Carolina.

Dybantsa originally planned to commit to school in February, but decided to push back the schedule.

“I just don’t want to wait any longer,” Dybantsa said last month. “It’s just too much to wait until the new year. I can make a decision within a month. So I won’t wait another two months.”

BYU among Dybantsa’s final four

Dybantsa attended a game visit to the Marriott Center last month to watch BYU take on Idaho on Nov. 16. This visit came a month after an official visit to Provo in October.

“What they told me on my unofficial account and my official account and what I saw at the game (in November) was pretty much the same thing,” Dybantsa said on BYU.

In October, a Crystal Ball forecast on 247Sports predicted Dybantsa would choose BYU. That prediction was recently withdrawn, and no one has a crystal ball choice as to which school Dybantsa will commit to on Tuesday.

Dybantsa has a perfect overall rating of 1,000, which is the highest a recruit can receive.

Last month, Dybantsa earned MVP honors at Hoopfest in Pleasant Grove, leading Utah Prep to a victory over Missouri-based Link Academy. He had 18 points and 12 rebounds in the win.

Dybantsa is a 6-foot-9 winged aircraft with a 7-foot wingspan.
