Daniel Penny was acquitted – now you’re firing prosecutor Alvin Bragg

In a turning point for common sense and against the crime madness that plagues this city, a Manhattan jury on Monday acquitted Daniel Penny in the May 2023 death of Jordan Neely.

New Yorkers, rejoice: there is hope for this city after all.

The “progressive” claim that Penny was a vile vigilante rather than a hero who stood up to protect his fellow soldiers from a menacing madman has been rejected by a jury of his peers.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s attempt to prosecute Perry failed – and Bragg could, shouldpay the highest political price for the attempt.

Bravo to the jurors, particularly those who had voted “guilty” on the more serious charge of involuntary manslaughter – which the judge and prosecutors outrageously dropped on Friday rather than accept a mistrial – but who chose this blatant violation had agreed to a “not guilty” plea of the defendant’s rights.

This was the just result of a Kafkaesque ordeal: Penny should never have been dragged to court in the first place.

But Bragg did it anyway, supporting his radical left-wing, race-obsessed base.

Bragg’s lawyers also relentlessly played the race card at trial, routinely calling Perry “the white man” and imputing racial motives to his actions, even as witness after witness confirmed that the entire car was terrified by Neely’s behavior on that F train and terror was given.

In acquitting Penny, the jury firmly rejected Bragg’s progressive pro-crime agenda, which has turned Gotham into a playground for recidivist criminals and an open-air psychiatric ward for the mentally ill.

The people most harmed by this madness are the very communities that are progressive claim want to help: low-income, minority New Yorkers.

If Governor Hochul cares about crime, she should take note and finally remove Bragg from office.

And if she’s too cowardly, voters should remove him in next year’s election – and throw her out in 2026.

Unfortunately, Penny’s ordeal is not over yet: with the support of the ideologues, Neely’s father files a civil lawsuit over the death of his son, whom he abandoned long ago.

We pray that the courts immediately throw out this nonsense and finally let Daniel Penny move forward.

In the meantime, the rest of us must move on to ridding this city and state of Alvin Bragg and any other elected official who embraces his perverted philosophy.
