Fans angry at Cris Collinsworth during Chiefs-Chargers clash

Despite the high anticipation for this matchup, fans were somewhat distracted during the AFC West battle between the Chiefs and Chargers. That’s because fans on social media were upset over NBC Sports analyst Cris Collinsworth’s comments during the Sunday Night Football broadcast.

They took to social media to express their displeasure.

“Watch out #SNF “muted so I don’t have to listen to Cris Collinsworth making fun of Patrick Mahomes for three hours,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“I just noticed that Chris Collinsworth calls Chargers vs. Chiefs. “Unreal Mahomes is coming,” another fan added.

Justin Herbert leads the charge in the LA locker room

After a lackluster 2023 season, the Los Angeles Chargers have returned with a vengeance. Under the leadership of first-year head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers are now atop the AFC West with a 7-4 record. After the Chiefs finally lost their first game of the season against the Buffalo Bills in November, things are starting to change in the division.

With the Chargers only three games behind and a crucial matchup with the division-leading Chiefs looming this week, things could get interesting as the season nears its end. Additionally, Justin Herbert looked like a brand new quarterback under the new Harbaugh regime. He has thrown 13 touchdowns with just one interception this season.

The energy in the Chargers’ locker room has become positive and contagious as Herbert’s teammates are starting to take notice.

“I feel like everyone is having more fun this year. We have a good culture and Justin’s.” definitely the leader of which: Chargers offensive tackle Rashawn Slater said ESPN. “Whenever we see him have that energy, it’s very contagious. Since I’ve known Justin, he’s been the ultimate competitor, but I love that he’s a little livelier.”
