FEDERAL HEIGHTS, Colo. (KDVR) — A couple captured video of a woman pointing a gun at them in the parking lot of a King Soopers near Federal Heights.

The couple told FOX31 it happened just a few days ago around 7 p.m. and the parking lot was crowded. The couple, who wished to remain anonymous, said they were about to leave when they found themselves stuck behind a vehicle that wasn’t moving.

“So we honked and tried to signal them to keep going and then this girl got out and started coming towards us and it was like she was swearing at us,” they said.

The couple then began recording the exchange on their phone when the woman suddenly produced a gun with a blue laser sight attached.

“I looked at my shirt and saw the laser on my shirt and I was like, we have to go, we have to go, like I was really scared,” the passenger in the car said.

They backed out of the parking lot and called the police. The couple said they couldn’t remember doing anything other than honking to provoke this incident. However, they said they will be more careful before honking in the future.

“There was no similar exchange of words or anything like that before,” the couple said. “Maybe that makes me feel like I should have been more patient. And I just waited because maybe that wouldn’t have happened.”
