Health technology companies are raising millions for innovation

Soda Health, the health technology company focused on improving health outcomes by optimizing performance dollars, announced that it has raised $50 million in Series B financing. This round was led by General Catalyst, with contributions from Bruce Broussard, former CEO of Humana, and other existing investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners and Define Ventures. General Catalyst’s Caitlin Donovan has joined Soda Health’s board of directors as part of this investment.

The company’s goal is to bridge the gap between the growing reliance on Medicare Advantage and outdated benefits administration methods. Currently, over 30 million seniors use Medicare Advantage, which includes over $100 billion in benefits. These enrollments have skyrocketed amid rising costs of living, including the cost of daily necessities such as groceries.
