Joe Burrow’s house was broken into during Monday Night Football in Dallas

CINCINNATI (WXIX) — While Bengals star Joe Burrow was in Dallas for “Monday Night Football,” his Anderson Township home was broken into, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office confirmed the break-in occurred Monday just after 8 p.m.

According to a call recording, Hamilton County dispatch received a call from a woman who said her daughter was at Burrow’s home at the time of the burglary.

“Someone is trying to break into the house,” the woman at the control center can be heard saying. “My daughter is here. This is Joe Burrow’s house. She stays there; He’s at the football game.”

“She said someone was in the house,” the woman told dispatch.

When the break-in was reported to 911, a security guard was already at Burrow’s home, the Hamilton County dispatcher told the caller.

An official at the star quarterback’s home said a bedroom window was broken and the bedroom was “ransacked.”

The suspects are no longer there, the officer said.

No further details about the break-in were released.

The break-in at Burrow’s home came not long after the NFL issued a security memo about recent home break-ins, the Associated Press reported Nov. 21.

The league’s memo came after the homes of Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were broken into.

The NFL said professional athletes’ homes are “increasingly the target of break-ins by organized and skilled groups,” according to the AP.

It is unclear whether the break-in at Burrow’s home is related to the groups suspected of targeting professional athletes.

The AP wrote: “Officials noted that these groups target homes on days when the athletes have games.”

Burrow and the Bengals were in Dallas on Monday.

Mahomes and Kelce’s homes were broken into before and on the day of the Chiefs’ home game against the New Orleans Saints on Oct. 7, the AP said.
