Predicted lineup of Real Madrid against Atalanta: Champions League

Real Madrid desperately need three points in the Champions League and face Atalanta just four months after the two teams met in the UEFA Super Cup.

Normally, Real Madrid would come out on top in a game against Atalanta, a team they comfortably beat 2-0 in the UEFA Super Cup on August 14. However, Los Blancos have struggled in the Champions League this season, picking up just six points from their first five games. The Serie A leaders are now unbeaten in 14 games across all competitions and have only conceded one goal in the Champions League.

Real Madrid, who are in 24th place in the league table, will be delighted to welcome Vinícius Júnior back on their trip to Italy. The Brazilian recovered from his hamstring injury quicker than expected and will play his first game in over two weeks. Rodrygo is also available after missing this weekend’s La Liga game against Girona due to a muscle injury. Jude Bellingham is also fit and ready to play, although he didn’t have to be on the pitch at the weekend.

Despite the three-fold injury rate, Real Madrid will still be without Eduardo Camavinga, David Alaba, Dani Carvajal and Éder Militão. Ferland Mendy also joins the long list of injured players after suffering a thigh injury against Girona.

This is what Real Madrid’s team could look like on December 10th against Atalanta.
