When the PSG board fails to win the Champions League overall, they often lose patience with a manager. So if current coach Enrique doesn’t even make it to the knockout rounds, it’s hard to see how his position will be sustainable.

PSG have still not won in the Champions League since their lucky late 1-0 victory over Girona on matchday one, losing to Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich and since then also drawing against PSV Eindhoven.

This is Enrique’s longest winless streak in the Champions League as a manager and they sit in 25th place with just four points from a possible 15.

Both in Europe and domestically, their biggest problem of late has been finding the net, with only Young Boys, Bologna and Sturm Graz scoring fewer goals.

With Manchester City and Stuttgart competing in January, PSG will likely need at least six points from their last three games to progress and they didn’t have the best preparation for this game on Friday evening, drawing 0-0 with Auxerre.

The lack of a clear attacking strength cost the Parisians once again, because although they had 73% possession and 25 shots, they missed five big chances and saw the opposing goalkeeper Donovan Leon made 11 saves and fired one empty shot.

This was their third straight game without a win in all competitions, having also drawn against a struggling Nantes side a week earlier, and the fact that they have only scored one goal in this mini-series is further cause for concern.

Salzburg is having an even worse season under the new coach Pep Lijndersas a defeat here could see them all but eliminated with two games to go.

They have already faced a French club this season, losing 4-0 to Brest, their worst home defeat in the competition to date. At the start of the season they suffered three defeats in which they failed to score. and conceded nine.

Lijnders would also suffer a 2-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb here, meaning the club now endures a run of six defeats at home in the UCL as they now return to the Red Bull Arena after two away games.

After overwhelming Feyenoord with a 3-1 win at De Kuip, Salzburg quickly fell back into old habits, losing 5-0 at Bayer Leverkusen in their last game, while also losing to Linz in a four-game winless streak -based clubs BW and LASK.

Although Salzburg ended that streak with a win over Hartberg, they lost more points at the weekend and only managed a 2-2 draw at home against Rapid Vienna, despite leading twice and missing a penalty to finish in fifth place. 13 points behind Leader Sturm Graz.

goalkeeper Janis BlaswichThe player, who is on loan from sister club RB Leipzig, is missing due to calf problems, according to the experienced coach Alexander Schlager will feature again after making 10 saves in Saturday’s draw.

Enrique, perhaps sensing the pressure mounting, named the strongest team for Friday’s game against Auxerre, but that still wasn’t enough to lead them to victory.

Personal changes are unlikely Joao Neves the only possible candidate for the team that started at the Stade de l’Abbe Deschamps.

Ousmane Dembele is suspended after being sent off against Bayern, while Lucas Hernández And Senny Mayulu The two injured players remain in the PSG squad.

Possible starting lineup for Red Bull Salzburg:
Bat; Capaldo, Piatkowski, Baidoo, Guindo; Clark, Bajcetic, Gloukh; Yeo, Ratkov, Nene

We say: Red Bull Salzburg 1-3 Paris Saint-Germain

When the two met in the Europa League group stage in 2011/12, there was a lot at stake. Salzburg’s 3-1 home win towards the end of the period helped them edge past PSG, but it’s hard to imagine a repeat of their disastrous season so far.

Despite their own problems, PSG have the talent to dominate the game and if they can rediscover their shooting boots, three points will be theirs to ease some of the pressure on coach Enrique.
