Maliq Brown injury update: Duke basketball player out against Incarnate Word

Maliq Brown will miss Tuesday’s Duke basketball game against Incarnate Word at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

According to Duke, Brown deals with a toe injury on a daily basis. Brown is one of the Blue Devils’ (7-2, 1-0 ACC) top defenders, averaging 3.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals in nine games.

The Syracuse transfer has emerged as one of Duke’s top reserves in his first season. He had six points, 11 rebounds and three steals in the Blue Devils’ 76-65 comeback win at Louisville in the ACC opener. He recorded multiple steals in five of nine games.

Following Duke’s game against Incarnate Word, the Blue Devils will take a seven-day break before welcoming George Mason to Cameron Indoor Stadium on December 17th.
