Part one of the two-part finale of The Voice season 26, which aired on Monday night, featured Gwen finalist Sydney Sterlace, 16, as she sang two show-stopping numbers.

While tonight’s season conclusion is being promoted entirely live, there were moments that aired on Tuesday’s finale that were actually taped on Monday, an eyewitness in the studio told The US Sun.

Gwen, 55, recorded a quirky duet to the Cat Stevens classic Wild World with her finalist Sydney.

The “No Doubt” singer wore a crystal-encrusted white and silver skirt and matching crop top with silver Christian Louboutin boots.

Although the performance wasn’t live, Gwen clearly appeared “nervous” as she paced the stage and even appeared to say a small prayer before they began filming, an eyewitness claimed.

She started the song and had to rely heavily on a teleprompter to sing the correct lyrics.

But after about 20 seconds, Gwen was off with her timing and missed some texts.

She apologized as she stopped the performance – forcing the entire crew to readjust the lighting and stage pieces.

Gwen appeared frustrated and even stepped back for a moment to compose herself before returning to the stage.

“Although the stakes were relatively low as it had already been recorded, Gwen was initially very nervous and shaky.

“She looked very, very nervous before her performance, which most likely led to the mistake. However, she was able to recover well,” the source added.

Meanwhile, Sydney maintained her composure and professionalism, standing on stage as she waited for her trainer to be ready.

In the second take, the two managed to duet the hit beautifully, and the song was even filmed a third time to be on the safe side.

After the third take, Gwen appeared thrilled and hugged Sydney before the couple left the stage together.

Fans may be surprised to learn that parts of the show are actually not live, as it was shown as a contiguous finale when it aired on NBC.

The two bad takes were not shown on Tuesday evening.
