Tom Brady shares a heartfelt message for former Patriots teammate Randy Moss as he struggles with health issues

Randy Moss, the legendary Hall of Fame receiver, shocked the football world a bit last week when he said he would step back from his duties on ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown” to address a personal health challenge.

Moss opened up about this health issue on Dec. 1 during the show, where he was seen wearing sunglasses. He said he was “struggling with something internally” but didn’t go into details.

“(Moss) touched on the topic briefly at the start of the show on December 1st. For nearly a decade, Randy has been an invaluable member of the team, bringing Countdown forward with his insight and passion. He has the full support of ESPN and we look forward to welcoming him back when he is ready,” ESPN’s statement said.

During FOX NFL Sunday, several of Moss’ former teammates with the New England Patriots, including Tom Brady, expressed their heartfelt support for Moss.

“One of the greatest teammates and friends of all time who remains in touch to this day,” Brady said during the FOX broadcast. “Our hearts are obviously with you, our prayers, all our positive energy.” We love you so much, man.

Moss, 47, told ESPN viewers that he has “some great doctors around him” and that “I couldn’t miss the show last week.” He even made a joke and called his sunglasses “Michigan turnover glasses,” which made some laugh.

Moss is one of the greatest wide receivers to ever step on an NFL field, earning four All-Pro honors and six Pro Bowls in his 14 years in the league.

He ranks fourth all-time in receptions with 15,292 on 982, while he is the Minnesota Vikings’ franchise leader in receiving yards with 9,316 in his eight years with the organization.
