He beat fellow Bublé member Shye, Team Reba’s Danny Joseph, Team Snoop’s Jeremy Beloate and Team Gwen’s Sydney Sterlace.

Vasquez grew up in the Philippines and credits his father for instilling in him the love of singing. After his father’s death, he moved to the USA in 2022 to pursue music.

During his blind audition of Rose Royce’s “I’m Goin’ Down,” he managed to get four chairs and chose Bublé as his coach.

During the December 2 episode, Canadian crooner Vasquez gave encouraging feedback after his moving performance of Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream.”

“I think if people understood the strength that you have and the fact that despite all that adversity, you go out here on a night like this where it probably matters more than anything else in your entire career life,” said he . “You walk out here at this moment and take the brass ring and I’m just so happy for you.”

Speaking to PEOPLE on December 9, Vasquez told PEOPLE how he would celebrate his experience on the show after the finale, whether he won or lost.

“We’re just going to celebrate that it was a very, very good run The voice and we really felt like we were loved by the production and no one was superior…we were all loved. (It’s) in America’s hands for tomorrow,” he said.
