FORECAST: Freeze warnings in Arizona

PHOENIX – A big cold is coming to Arizona!

Overnight low temperatures will fall into the 30s and 40s across the valley, with single digit lows in parts of the high country this evening.

Freeze warnings in effect overnight through early Wednesday morning for portions of southern and western Arizona, including Casa Grande and Globe.

Frost and freeze could kill sensitive vegetation or even damage unprotected pipes in these areas. Be sure to cover your plants, wrap your pipes, and bring your pets indoors overnight.

High pressure will build again on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing the 70s back down to the valley.

Then we will see another weak storm system that will drop temperatures by a few degrees on Friday.

The warm-up continues over the weekend, with high temperatures here in Phoenix dropping into the mid-70s by Sunday.
