Elton John’s quiet life in a charming town near Windsor Castle – house prices average £600,000

Elton John has had a career spanning more than 50 years and has amassed a huge fortune during this time.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, the singer has a net worth of $650 million (£512 million), which has allowed her to purchase properties around the world.

Although there are houses all over the world, Windsor was Elton’s home for a long time.

His home is located in Old Windsor, on the edge of Windsor Great Park, and is said to contain more than 30 hectares of land.

While the interior shots are very private, bird’s eye views show a huge estate with tennis courts and large, spacious gardens.

Elton often refers to his Woodside residence as “the centre”, which he is believed to have bought for £400,000.

He also describes the mansion, which has a long, tree-lined driveway, as “tastefully over-the-top.”

Old Windsor is less than two miles from central Windsor and is close to Windsor Farm Shop and Windsor Great Park.

Although Windsor itself is popular with tourists, there is less to do in Old Windsor and is therefore quieter.

However, there are some incredible pubs and restaurants as well as beautiful countryside.

According to Rightmove, average property prices in the area are currently £627,518.

Most properties sold in Old Windsor last year were semi-detached houses, selling for an average price of £577,542.

Detached houses sold for an average of £930,750, with terraced houses selling for £451,000.

Overall, historic sales prices in Old Windsor last year were six per cent below the previous year and four per cent above the 2021 peak of £603,767.

Elton shares his home with his husband David Furnish and their children Elijah and Zachary.

They also shared it with Elton’s grandmother, who lived in the 18th-century orangery.

The furnishings included a library, a gilded salon, a chapel and his grandmother’s apartment.
