“The Voice” has crowned a new winner and that’s great news for a new coach.

Sofronio Vasquez, who was part of coach Michael Bublé’s team, won this season’s singing competition.

It was the first win for Bublé – the only coach to have two team members in the top five. That other team member, Shye, came in second.

Vasquez, 32, is from Mindanao, Philippines, and thanked her coach before her win.

Michael Bublé congratulates Sonofrio Vasquez on his victory.

“Your mentorship is a blessing to me, my family and all the dreamers out there,” he told Bublé. “You opened so many doors.”

The other coaches of the season were Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani. At the start of the competition, all four turned their chairs around and had a chance to score for their teams with Vasquez after he gave an impressive performance of Mary J. Blige’s version of “I’m Going Down.”

For the finale, he performed “Unstoppable” by Sia and “A Million Dreams” by “The Greatest Showman.”

Bublé shared a video of the winning moment on social media, which showed Vasquez falling to his knees in tears after he was announced as the winner. The rest of the contestants and coaches reacted joyfully, including Stefani, who twirled around in a dress.
