Investigation underway after shooting on N. King Street; Farrington High School Closed | Crime and courts

A 21-year-old man was shot in the right leg early Wednesday morning at 1564 N. King St. Police and emergency responders responded and the victim was taken to the hospital. The incident is under investigation.



HONOLULU (Island News) – A shooting occurred at 1564 N. King St around 4 a.m. Wednesday. Police, fire brigade and medical emergency teams were on site.

A 21-year-old man was shot in the right leg and seriously injured. Paramedics treated him and took him to the hospital.

Dispatch reports say the victim was found near the cafeteria on the Farrington High School campus. Police are unsure if the shooting actually took place on campus. Officers were seen investigating at the rear of the school.

School officials are working with the Honolulu Police Department in the investigation. Due to ongoing police operations, the Farrington campus will remain closed to faculty and students today as a precautionary measure.
