Jamie Foxx reveals what caused the mysterious health scandal in the Netflix special

Jamie Foxx has finally revealed what sent him “to hell and back” when he had a medical emergency in April last year.

In his new Netflix special Jamie Foxx: What happened was… The actor and comedian told his Atlanta audience about his near-death experience and his moment of “return to God.”

“You have no idea how good this feels,” he said after being introduced by his daughter Corinne Fox.

“Atlanta, I’m back!” he shouted with tears in his eyes. “I fought for my life, but I stand here in front of you.”

What happened to Jamie Foxx?

In April 2023, the Grammy Award winner, whose full name is Eric Marlon Bishop, filmed “Back in Action” with Cameron Diaz in Atlanta Foxx suffered what his daughter called a “medical complication.”

Foxx and his family never shared what exactly the complication was, only that he was on the road to recovery.

In an Instagram video Foxx shared it with fans in July 2023he thanked his fans for their support and told them he had been to “hell and back.” However, he never revealed what brought him there, but instead thanked his family for saving his life.

“They protected me, and I hope everyone can do the same in moments like these,” he said.

A year later, in June 2024, Foxx addressed a group of people outside the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Phoenix and said his word Health scare started with a headache.

“See, April 11th last year I had a bad headache and asked my boy for an Advil. (snaps fingers) I was gone for 20 days. I don’t remember anything,” Foxx said.

In his latest Netflix special, Foxx said he had a brain bleed that led to a stroke. According to IMBD, he had eleven projects in the works at the time.

“However, the internet tried to kill me,” he said in the special, referring to the headlines and speculation online about his illness. “They said I was paralyzed. They said I couldn’t walk. Look at me now,” he said, dancing to Unk’s “Walk it Out.”
