The cold front will reach Oklahoma before Thanksgiving

As we transition from a warm weekend into a much colder week, Oklahoma is bracing for gusty winds and plunging temperatures that will have you reaching for your winter gear.

Temperatures will reach highs of around 45°F on Thanksgiving, with morning lows dipping into the 20s.

What is the weather like on Wednesday in Oklahoma?

A cold front will move north of the Oklahoma City metro on Wednesday and make its way to the Red River by the afternoon.

As the colder air gets deeper, there is a small chance of precipitation during the week. A mix of light rain and possibly snow flurries could occur late Wednesday into early Thursday, but no major accumulation is expected.

The data suggests only trace amounts – just enough to remind us that winter is just around the corner.

Currently, temperatures will be in the upper 40s to low 50s next week, and there is no sign of rain or snow for most of us.
