Georgia will play Florida on November 1, 2025 in Jacksonville. The Bulldogs also already know the dates and locations of their non-conference games, with Georgia taking on Marshall on August 30th, Austin Peay on September 6th and Charlotte on November 22nd. The games will all be played in Athens.

The annual game against Georgia Tech will be played on November 29th, but at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Georgia won this year’s version of Clean Old-Fashioned Hate by defeating Georgia Tech in eight overtimes by a score of 44-42.

In the 2025 season, Georgia will host Texas for the first time in the history of the two schools. The Bulldogs defeated Texas twice this season, winning 30-15 on October 19 in Austin, Texas, and most recently in the SEC Championship Game.

As for Alabama, if Georgia hosts the Crimson Tide, it would be the first time the two teams meet in Athens since the 2015 season. While Kirby Smart is 1-6 against Alabama in his time as Georgia head coach, none of those games were played in exhibition games at Sanford Stadium.

Georgia faced one of the tougher schedules in college football this season, playing three teams that made it to the College Football Playoff. The Bulldogs also faced Alabama and Ole Miss, who narrowly missed the College Football Playoff.

After Georgia’s victory over Texas in the SEC Championship Game, Smart didn’t hesitate to give SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey his opinion on Georgia’s football schedule last season.

“I don’t know that I had a mentally stronger team,” Smart said. “They just keep coming and going. They never say “die.” I have a lot of respect for the leaders in this room because of what they’ve been through. Probably the toughest schedule we’ve ever had in history. They endured it, emerged victorious and fought through.”

Kick-off times and television appearances for the 2025 schedule will be announced at a later date.

As for the upcoming season, Georgia will next play in the Sugar Bowl on January 1st. The Bulldogs will face the winner of Notre Dame-Indiana. The game begins at 8:45 p.m. EST.
