Jimmy Butler’s agent slams NBA Insider for spreading ‘fabricated’ reports

The NBA trade deadline is still a few months away, but Jimmy Butler’s situation with the Miami Heat is evolving much faster.

ESPN’s Shams Charania broke the news on Tuesday that the Heat will accept offers for the 35-year-old, with the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors being his preferred landing spots. Charania followed up on Wednesday evening with a report that the Phoenix Suns are also among Butler’s desired destinations.

Butler’s agent Bernie Lee was quick to comment on these reports from ESPN and NBA Insider.

“Okay, listen. I gave you a pass yesterday because I was busy, but if you don’t stop putting my name on your totally made up cop (expletive) because you know you’re not normally worth my time to acknowledge… (continued) ” Lee wrote in a reply to Charania’s post. “I don’t know what I’m going to do because I’m a middle-aged father, but I just know that it suggests a lot of resentment. World… it’s all made up. “I’ve never done it and frankly it wouldn’t help me or the others. I take the position of doing everything the ‘journalist’ reported.”

This adds another layer to Butler’s situation, considering everyone involved remains relatively quiet about the circumstances. When asked, Butler left his future open.

Still, Lee wasn’t done blowing up Charania’s reports.

“Shams, this is your chance to say how bad I feel. “I had Chat GPT write my tweets and Peter Vescey made it old school.” (Shams Peter was a writer in the 90s) was a trendsetter.. invent the new. I was hacked. Keep it up. Thank you,” Lee concluded.
