Thousands of people in Maine were without power Wednesday evening in the middle of a storm that is expected to bring downpours and strong wind gusts later tonight. According to Central Maine Power and Versant Power, Maine’s largest electric utilities, more than 7,700 people were without power as of 6:30 p.m. Both CMP and Versant have lists and maps of outage information for their customers. Maine’s Total Weather expects the threat of damaging winds to end at midnight.
