Trae Young brutally trolls Knicks with a logo dice roll

Trae Young doesn’t appear to be losing his status as Madison Square Garden’s No. 1 enemy any time soon.

As the Hawks star dribbled out Atlanta’s 108-100 NBA Cup quarterfinal victory over the Knicks on Wednesday night, he had some fun at the mid-court logo under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden – with a view of Nevada.

Young established himself as a villain in the eyes of New York fans when he stood in front of the Knicks’ logo, picked up the dice and rolled them as if he were playing craps in Las Vegas, where the Hawks will play this tournament weekend in the semifinals.

“It’s (a) love-hate relationship. I got a lot of love from them and a lot of hate, but I also got a lot of love from them. That’s respect,” Young told ESPN on the field after the win.

Jalen Brunson said after the game that Young’s trolling would never have happened if the outcome had been different.

“We should win the game if we don’t want him to do that,” he said.

The rivalry between Young and New York began in the 2021 playoffs when the two teams faced off – with the Hawks winning the series 4-1 – and Knicks fans began using the chant “F–k Trae Young.”

That streak peaked when Young poured in 36 points in the deciding Game 5 at The Garden, bowing out late in the contest after hitting a deep 3.

Young defeated the Knicks in that series by an average of over 29 points.

The Atlanta guard cemented his status as a nemesis earlier this season when he led his Hakws to a victory over the Knicks in November at State Farm Arena, where scores of Knicks fans gathered.

“I hope these New York fans find their way to the exit very, very quickly,” Young said with a laugh during a postgame interview. “Boo, take you all home.”

Young’s play fueled another win for the Hawks on Wednesday, as he scored a game-high 22 points with 11 assists and five rebounds.

The Hawks play the Bucks on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena with a chance to reach the NBA Cup title game.
