Jalen Brunson bluntly responded to Trae Young’s logo taunt after the Knicks loss

The Atlanta Hawks knocked the New York Knicks out of the NBA Cup with a 108-100 quarterfinal victory on Wednesday, and the Hawks’ Trae Young celebrated his upcoming trip to Las Vegas with a fitting celebration: He mimicked a Sin City-style dice roll , directly above the Knicks logo.

It was a move intended to turn heads, which makes sense for Young, who himself has admitted that he wanted a “Love-hate relationship” with New York fans at Madison Square Garden. But one person who didn’t care, or at least showed a measured reaction to the taunt, was Knicks guard Jalen Brunson.

“We should win the game if we don’t want him to do that,” Brunson said of the celebration, according to Knicks reporter Ian Begley.

Dude is right. Although New York led at halftime, Atlanta erased the lead in the second half, outscoring the Knicks 61-46 over the last two frames. Overall, it was a big surprise over the Knicks, who were initially favored at -350.

Now Atlanta can advance to the semifinals, where they will face the Milwaukee Bucks on December 14th.
