Honolulu police have called off the search for the shooting at Farrington High School this morning, instead shifting the investigation to a random cause. Farrington sent parents a letter letting them know it will reopen tomorrow on a normal schedule.

UPDATE – December 11th, 3:00 p.m

HPD detectives continue to investigate the shooting incident. There have been no arrests so far and the search for a suspect has been discontinued.

The victim was working as a night security guard at Farrington High School when he said he heard a loud bang. The victim then saw that he had been shot in the thigh. The victim’s brother was also present at this time.

Farrington cannot provide further details about the ongoing investigation, but confirmed the incident was not directed at the school.

This week, security presence will be increased on their campus.
