Pacman Jones releases video saying Rich Rodriguez is “official” to WVU

The search for a new West Virginia head football coach is about to end. Well, according to former WVU defensive back Adam “Pacman” Jones, it’s already over.

On Tuesday night, Pacman posted a video on X saying that Rich Rodriguez was returning to West Virginia.

“It’s official! WVU is back! Rich Rodriguez back in Morgantown. To everyone at WVU, to everyone at West Virginia State: You all have two things to be really excited about. First, Marshall. Coach Gibby. An incredible coach, without him I wouldn’t be where I am. Second, the toughness of West Virginia has returned!”

A few minutes later, Pacman posted another video stating that he would do anything to support the football program.

“I didn’t tell y’all I didn’t have Pat McAfee’s money. Pat McAfee paid me, but I got a little money. Just a bit. With Rodriguez here, every DB that has two picks, me and my team will donate $100,000.”

No announcement has been made at this time, but according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, WVU is expected to make a decision in the next 24 to 48 hours.
