“I feel like my privacy has been violated in more ways than one and there’s already a lot more than I want out there that I’m comfortable sharing, so that’s all I can say about it,” he added added.

According to a police report obtained by PEOPLE, officers from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Burrows’ home after the influencer and model’s mother, Olivia Ponton, called 911.

In a police audio recording obtained by TMZ, Ponton’s mother could be heard telling a dispatcher that her daughter was “wondering what she should do, whether she should hide or go outside.”

Ponton, 22, was later heard saying in a separate call: “Someone broke into my house…It’s a complete mess.”

Ponton, described in the police report as an employee of Burrow’s, said she observed a “shattered bedroom window and a ransacked room” after arriving at the property. She would later provide police with a list of “possibly missing people,” the report said.

PEOPLE reached out to Ponton and Burrow representatives.

Asked Wednesday if “the most frustrating thing” about the situation was how much information was revealed, Burrow said that was “part of it.”

“We live a public life, and you know, one of the aspects I dislike the most is the lack of privacy, and that has been difficult for me throughout my career. “I’m still learning, but I understand that it’s a life we have to choose,” he said. “That doesn’t make it any easier to deal with.”

Another reporter asked if he had any doubts about his safety because “this didn’t just happen to you, so now professional athletes feel like they’re being targeted” – referring to the break-ins at the homes of Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes within two days of each other in October.

“I’ve said everything I want to say about it,” Burrow replied.
