Selena Gomez is officially an engaged woman — and her “weird uncles” are congratulating her and her new fiancé Benny Blanco.

“You showed me a level of class, intellect and humor that doesn’t seem to be easy to find anymore,” she continued in the caption of the sweet post. “You truly are best friends to me forever.”

Love is also mutual. “She’s so lovely as a person, she’s so remarkable as a talent, and she just has this aura and this lovely spirit,” Short told PEOPLE of Gomez earlier this year.

“Our friendship grows and grows,” he said. “I think it just keeps getting deeper and deeper.”

Martin echoed his longtime friend’s sentiments, admitting, “We didn’t really know Selena, we didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into. I knew she had a fabulous personality, she was very smart. But she is never late.” ”

Short and Martin aren’t the only people in Gomez’s life celebrating her happy news. In the comments to Emilia Perez Following the star’s post, there was an outpouring of excitement from her famous friends, including Jennifer Aniston, who commented: “Honey!! Happy birthday, sweet mom! ❤️💫.”
