It’s official – Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are engaged and the couple couldn’t be happier about the prospect of a future together. The only person whose excitement compares to that of the soon-to-be married couple is none other than Taylor Swift, who had the perfect reaction when the Rare Beauty founder shared the news of their relationship milestone on Instagram.

In Gomez’s December 11 engagement post, the star’s friends and fans flocked to share their congratulations on her and Blanco’s happy news. Swift chimed in, using her comment as both an excited response and a request for the role she wants to play in her friend’s wedding. “Yes, I will be the flower girl,” the “Fortnight” singer wrote. Blanco was also seen in the comments section of the post, cheekily writing: “Hey wait… that’s my wife.”

Reactions from celebrities continued to pour in, with several of Gomez’s actor, actress and musician friends wishing her well: “Honey!! Congratulations sweet mama!” Jennifer Aniston commented, while Gwyneth Paltrow responded with an excited “SELENAAAAAAAA.” Gomez’s spring breakers Co-star Ashley Benson added in the comments: “Congratulations darling. I’m so happy for you,” while Emily in Paris star Lily Collins replied: “Ahhhhhhhh yes yes yes!! Best news ever. I couldn’t be happier for you both.”

Gomez and Blanco’s engagement comes after a year of dating during which the couple couldn’t stop gushing about each other. Speaking about sharing her relationship with the music producer online, Gomez said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter“I guess this is the safest feeling I’ve ever felt with a person like that and I see a future with this person. And if you spend a little time, people won’t be as hungry to hunt you down.”
