Morgan Wallen sentenced after pleading guilty in chair-throwing case

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year Morgan Wallen has reached a plea agreement for throwing a chair from the ceiling of a Broadway bar in early April.

Wallen pleaded guilty to two counts of reckless endangerment. He will serve seven days in jail at a DUI rehab center and two years of probation.

This was his first court appearance to face charges stemming from his April 7 arrest. The 31-year-old singer was arrested after he was seen throwing a chair from the top of Eric Church’s Bar Chief’s. It was the bar’s opening weekend.

The chair reportedly landed just feet away from two Metro Nashville Police Department officers who were patrolling Broadway on foot that night.
