Connor Gaydoswho is associated with a satirical project to resurrect the Enron name, was hit in the face with a pie in New York City on Thursday. The incident was captured on video and went viral on social media. The five-second clip shows Gaydos getting out of a car before being hit with a cake by an older man, after which his bodyguards quickly lead him away.

Several social media users put forward theories as to why Gaydos was hit by a cake. Some said that it was just a commercial and that the “new CEO” was trying to attack the former CEO Enron CEO Jeffrey Skillingwho was hit by a cake in 1991.

“In what I believe is a shameless publicity stunt, Enron CEO Connor Gaydos has just been sprayed in the face while out and about in New York City. This is likely a reference to the time Francine Cavanaugh threw a pie in former Enron CEO Jeffrey’s face. “Skilling,” said one person on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Connor Gaydos is a genius to watch. This could be one of the best comedies of the Trump era,” another added.

Gaydos, an entrepreneur and co-founder of the Arkansas-based LLC College Company, is leading a satirical project to revive Enron. This project is a parody attempt to revive the infamous energy company that went bankrupt due to fraud in 2001. Gaydos is also known for the satirical conspiracy theory that “birds are government surveillance drones.”
