The Witcher 4 is getting even more coin teasers from CD Projekt Red, sparking another round of theories among RPG fans about Project Polaris' plot

According to director Sebastian Kalemba’s announcement The Witcher 4 has now “entered the full production phase” and an accompanying one TeasersDevelopers have shared even more cryptic images with coins – and fans are trying to decipher them again.

As CD Project Red continues its work on The Witcher 4, officially called Project Polaris, and the developers continue to tease the community with images of coins. Just a few weeks ago, fans were active in online threads trying to understand Kalemba’s contribution with such a coin image – and now there are even more. The next post came from the game’s acting lead film designer and highlights the same coin as Kalemba.

It features something that fans believe could potentially be a reference to the Curse of the Black Sun or the Conjunction of the Spheres, the cataclysm that first brought monsters like ghouls, engravers, and vampires to The Witcher’s dimension. Another post The presentation of a coin then came from the deputy technical director for gameplay, Jan Huňka – and it is once again the same coin. “The coins Mason,” one fan commented, “what do they mean!!?”

There’s really no telling what the coins mean yet, especially since CD Projekt Red recently made this clear The team will remain fairly quiet ahead of the release – although a few “crumbs” are dropped here and there to “whet the appetite” of the excited players. Fans know a few things, such as the fact that the original teaser for the game, an image showing a Witcher medallion, features a lynx – a possible allusion to the school of the cat and Ciri.

Regardless of what the coins mean, now seems like a better time to be a Witcher stan than ever before upcoming CD Projekt Red games like The Witcher 4 in full swing. There is also the code name Project Siriusa Witcher game that developers at CDPR say will be “different from previous productions.” A new story from The Witcher booksAuthor Andrzej Sapkowski is also available now, more than a decade after the release of the last title in the series.
