One X user said she filmed at least five drones in the sky above the train station in Fairfield, Connecticut.

“They all just walked past each other,” she was heard saying off camera. “They are on different levels. My husband has a drone. They don’t fly as far or as quietly.”

At one point she said the plane could be a “hobby drone.”

Another social media user said she noticed the drones “between 5:30 and 6:00. Crazy, definitely not planes.” Other footage posted online showed several possible drones hovering near LaGuardia Airport in New York City, according to social media posts.

More than three weeks after dozens of mysterious drones began appearing in New Jersey’s night sky, the Pentagon has not provided any answers about where they came from. However, the Pentagon denied earlier this week that the drones were launched from an Iranian “mother ship” off the US East Coast.

“There is no Iranian vessel off the coast of the United States and there is no so-called ‘mother ship’ launching drones toward the United States,” Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh told Fox News chief national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin.

On Thursday, White House national security communications adviser John Kirby said many of the alleged drone sightings spotted over New Jersey For a few weeks now, these have actually been legally operated manned aircraft.

“We have no evidence at this time that the reported drone sightings pose a threat to national security or public safety or have any foreign connection,” Kirby told reporters at the daily White House briefing.

The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security said they would “continue to investigate this situation and confirm whether the reported drone flights were actually drones or instead were manned aircraft or otherwise inaccurate sightings.”

“In the past, we have experienced cases of mistaken identity where the reported drones were actually manned aircraft or facilities. We are assisting local law enforcement in New Jersey with numerous detection methods, but have not confirmed any of the reported visual sightings through electronic detection,” the statement said.

“On the contrary, upon reviewing the available images, it appears that many of the reported sightings are actually manned aircraft operating legally. There are no reported or confirmed drone sightings in any restricted airspace.”
