Tollywood star Allu Arjun filed a case in the Telangana High Court challenging the FIR registered against him in connection with the tragic death of a 35-year-old woman named Revathi in a stampede during the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ at Sandhya 70mm- to abolish theater. In the December 4 tragedy, Revathi’s 13-year-old son Sreetej was also seriously injured when a large crowd rushed to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, who was visiting the theater along with his family.

Arjun has filed an application seeking quashing of the FIR and a stay on all further proceedings, including arrest. The Supreme Court is expected to hear his plea this week.
