Stanley recall: 2.6 million cups recalled due to burn hazard; How do I get a replacement lid?

Millions of travel mugs from the wildly popular manufacturer Stanley are being recalled after federal officials said they received dozens of complaints about burns.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of approximately 2.6 million Staley Switchback and Trigger Action stainless steel travel mugs. The double-walled cups were sold in a variety of colors, including white, black and green in 12-ounce sizes. 16 ounces. and 20 ounces. Sizes with polypropylene lid and the Stanley logo – a winged bear with a crown – on the front and bottom of the cup.

According to the CSPC, Stanley has received more than 90 reports worldwide of the lids of the recalled travel mugs coming off during use, resulting in 38 burns. Sixteen of these reporters came from the United States with two injuries. Globally, 11 of the burn injuries were so severe that people had to seek medical attention.
