Travis Kelce’s father Ed plans to spend $10 on his birthday gift for Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce’s father is planning a special birthday present for Taylor Swift.

On the December 12th episode Baskin and Phelps On the podcast, Ed Kelce revealed his strategy for choosing a gift for the “Shake It Off” singer’s birthday. Swift — who has been dating Ed’s son Travis for over a year — turns 35 on Friday, December 13.

“Buying Taylor a gift is like trying to buy Jason or Travis a gift,” Ed explained on the podcast. “There’s nothing they want that they don’t already have.”

“You can’t go that route,” added Ed, who is also the father of retired NFL player Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles, 37.

“You have to look beyond that. You have to look deep and come up with something special,” he continued. “The amount of money is meaningless. You’re not going to destroy Taylor Swift with a gift that costs, you know, $100,000.”

Ed continued that he had to “get something that would tug on her heart strings and spend $10 on it.” He added, “Then she’ll just be all sticky. You have to find something that triggers the emotions.”
