“Malcolm in the Middle” reboot is coming to Disney+

Malcolm in the middlethat defined the dysfunctional TV sitcom family will be rebooted for four new episodes on Disney+ at an unknown date in 2025. The new episodes, which originally aired on Fox from 2000 to 2006, will see the return of original cast members Frankie Muniz as Malcolm, a child prodigy, and Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek as his parents Hal and Lois.

As of press time, there is no information on whether any of the other actors are included Malcolm in the middle will return for the reboot.

Linwood Boomer created the original series and returns as a writer and executive producer. New Regency’s Bryan Cranston, Tracy Katsky (KatCo), Gail Berman and Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan and Natalie Lehmann are executive producers. Ken Kwapis will direct and executive produce all four episodes. The limited series is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios, and New Regency.
