SpaceX Falcon 9 launches from Vandenberg SFB on Friday

UPDATE (2:08 p.m.) – SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket carrying 22 Starlink satellites lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base on Friday at 1:55 p.m.

The first stage booster landed on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean about eight minutes after liftoff.

According to SpaceX, this is the 100th drone landing of the year.

(Thursday, December 12) – SpaceX plans to launch a Falcon 9 rocket carrying 22 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base on Friday morning.

Launch is scheduled for 11:28 a.m., with backup options reportedly available until 3:04 p.m

If necessary, additional options will also be available starting at 10:48 a.m. Saturday, according to SpaceX officials

The launch is intended to send 22 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit.

Company officials say this is the ninth flight of the first stage booster in support of the mission.

This booster is intended to land on the drone ship “Of Course I Still Love You” in the Pacific Ocean.

A live webcast of the mission will begin approximately five minutes before launch and can be accessed on the SpaceX website or X account.
