News, the actor revealed that his two children absolutely love the 1990 Christmas classic, in which he played Kevin McCallister. Dakota, who identifies with McCallister’s character, believes that he actually experienced all the fun activities that the Home Alone protagonist did in the film.

Speaking to E! Macaulay Culkin revealed that his and Brenda Song’s son Dakota is a big fan of Home Alone and believes he is Kevin McCallister. In the interview, Culkin said, “He thinks he’s Kevin,” referring to Dakota. The actor fondly shared, “I’m like, ‘Do you remember going down the stairs in the sleigh?’ He goes, ‘Mmhmm, yeah.’ “Certainly.'” Culkin continued, “I’m like, ‘Do you remember when he had yellow hair?'” And he goes, ‘Uh-huh, yeah.'”

The little boy, who is currently 3 years old, also believes that it was he who “fought the burglars on his own” in the Christmas movie. Culkin then shared his response on the matter with his son. He remembered playfully confronting Dakota by saying, “You’re a lying liar who’s lying.” That was me!”

During the interview, Macaulay Culkin also talked about how happy it makes him to see his sons living in their fantasy world. He enjoys explaining the plot of the film to them because sometimes the children don’t understand it. “They can’t really follow the plot, so I sort of told them the story along the way,” he said. In addition, the actor is confident that one day they will be surprised that their father played the role of Kevin McCallister.

In addition to Dakota, Culkin and Song are also parents to a two-year-old son, whose name they have not yet revealed.
