Mickey Mouse and Co. are preparing to welcome passengers to the new plane Disney treasure Cruise ship next month.

The Disney ship was christened in New York this week before sailing to Port Canaveral, Florida, on December 21 for its maiden voyage through the Caribbean.

It is the sixth member of the Disney Cruise Line fleet and can accommodate 4,000 cruise ships, making it one of the brand’s largest ships.

Meyer Werft, which built Disney treasuresays it’s worth $1.1 billion.

Treasure is the sister ship of Disney wishso that passengers will find many similar features, such as: B. the layout and location of the Great Hall, Theater and Spa. Some venues are replicas, including The Rose cocktail lounge and Palo Steakhouse, as well as the children’s clubs, pools and some evening entertainment.

There are also many differences.

Peter Pan and Captain Hook are there Treasures strictly, while Wish has Rapunzel and Pascal. Cruise ships will also find new dining options and exclusive shows.

Disney treasure is equipped around the theme of adventure, with lots of pictures from Aladdin.

A statue of Aladdin and Princess Jasmine greets you as you board and enter the Great Hall, while the decorations, furnishings and lighting transport you to Agrabah.

Images of Africa and Asia abound as you venture further into the ship and visit Heidi Café, named after Moana’s loyal sidekick. The venue pays homage to the traditional construction techniques used by the Polynesian people to build sea vessels.

On the walls of Jade Cricket Café you’ll find plum blossoms inspired by the Disney classic Mulanand enter the savannah for daytime activities and adults-only evening entertainment at Sarabi, where innuendo abounds The Lion King.

There are 1,256 cabins and suites on board Disney treasureFacilities range from windowless interior cabins to rooms with balconies to a two-story Tomorrow Tower suite in the ship’s artificial chimney that can accommodate eight guests. It features nearly 2,000 square feet of living space, including a fully equipped kitchen and a private elevator.

The cabin design is inspired by classic Disney films, such as: Aladdin, Find Nemo, High And Encantowhile you find decorations from The Lion King And The Jungle Book in the suites.

Disney style dining

As with other Disney ships Treasure operates rotating dining, where cruise ships eat at three different restaurants but have the same wait staff.

It’s a great opportunity to get closer to many of his popular characters and be entertained while eating. Treasure Passengers can enjoy a meal at Plaza de Coco, the first theatrical dining experience dedicated to the Disney and Pixar film Coco.

The venue takes you back to where Coco and his family were last seen in the film as they gather at Mariachi Plaza to take guests on a colorful and music-filled journey of Mexican food and fun.

There are also two superhero-themed dining experiences in Worlds of Marvel where you can go on an adventure with Groot Guardians of the Galaxy and take part in a mission in Avengers: Quantum Encounter, where Spider-Man will make a special appearance.

The third dining room dates from 1923 and is based on the founding period of Walt Disney Studios. You can find decor inspired by Disney films such as: Tarzan, The Lion King And Aladdin while enjoying California cuisine.

You can also get your sugar fix at Jumbeaux’s Sweets, which serves 16 flavors of ice cream and sorbet, as well as other sweet treats. It is based on the ice cream parlor from Disney’s films Zootopia and fans will be surrounded by pink interiors, Victorian-style architecture and an endearing sculpture of character Officer Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde.

Moana is brought to the stage for the first time Disney treasure.

An exclusive Broadway-style show takes place in the ship’s Walt Disney Theater The story of Moanawhere you can join the beloved character as he sees how far he will go on a musical journey across the ocean.

Other live shows include Beauty and the Beast And Disney Seas the Adventurewhich features Goofy and his friends and includes songs from films like this The Princess and the Frog, Moana And Frozen.

Disney has drawn inspiration from many of its classic films for its bar and lounge areas.

Skipper Society, a themed lounge and cocktail bar located near the Grand Hall on Deck 3, brings Disney Parks’ Jungle Cruise attraction to the sea for the first time.

It features jungle camp-style furniture as well as a monkey-shaped chandelier, as well as postcards and luggage tags.

Cat fans can enjoy piano music in the Scat Cat Lounge. Inspired by The aristocatsThere is a small wing decorated with colorful paw prints.

A spookier experience awaits sailors next door at the Haunted Mansion Parlor. Inspired by the Haunted Mansion Park Ride, spooky images on the walls and sound effects create a spooky atmosphere as you watch short shows featuring a séance and tales of a murder at sea.

Also on deck five is the Periscope Pub, the Disney Cruise Line’s first venue inspired by the 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. It offers craft beers and snacks in a submarine-style setting. You can watch live sports broadcasts on the screen or look out the mysterious window into the depths of the unknown oceans. In honor of Captain Nemo’s legendary nemesis, the center of the room also features a decorative giant squid statement rug.

Disney treasure features 10 pools and water play areas inspired by Mickey Mouse and his friends.

There’s also a Toy Story Splash Zone that houses larger-than-life rubber bath toys and the Slide-a-saurus Rex family slide.

Hovering high above the upper decks, it features 760 feet of winding tubes that provide views of the sea and the ship below.

Children’s clubs

Kids can practice their superhero skills on Disney Treasure

Kids – or Oceaneers as Disney calls them – are invited to train with some of their favorite characters at the Marvel Super Hero Academy Kids Club for the chance to train alongside Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man and The Die Save world wasp.

More creative children can visit the Fairy Tale Hall, where they can make floating lanterns in Rapunzel’s art studio, act out their favorite stories in Belle’s library, and create ice magic in Anna & Elsa’s summer house. A Disney princess may even come to visit.
