Former Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi84, recovering in a Luxembourg hospital after a serious illness Hip injury during an official engagement. Pelosi’s injury follows a series of high-profile public appearances, including attending the Kennedy Center Honors and swearing in former House colleagues. Although Pelosi stepped down from her leadership post two years ago, she remained active in Congress, representing her district in San Francisco.
The fall also comes two years after her husband Paul Pelosi was violently attacked by an intruder in their home, an incident that was widely condemned.
Pelosi’s spokesman assured that she was looking forward to returning to the United States soon. Her injury reflects a recent downfall of the Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell82, who stumbled on the Senate floor earlier this week, spraining his wrist and cutting his face.
