The Friday the 13th Mega Millions jackpot reaches $695 million

Are you ready to test your luck this Friday the 13th? If you are superstitious, you can try your luck in the Mega Million drawing.

While no one hit the $695 million jackpot on Friday, someone in California won $360,000, which isn’t too bad a consolation prize. According to the California Lottery, the $359,992 Mega Millions ticket was sold at OK Liquor at 301 East South Street in Long Beach.

Had anyone won on Friday, the $695 million would have been the eighth-largest Mega Million in history. The California Lottery’s sale of this jackpot originally began in September, coincidentally another Friday the 13th.

According to state lottery officials, there have been 26 Mega Millions drawings without a top prize winner since Friday, Sept. 13.

Below are the winning numbers for Friday the 13th that apparently no one got:

36, 43, 52, 58, 65. MB: 16.

In gaming history, seven Mega Millions jackpots have been won on a Friday the 13th.

In California, sales and any unclaimed jackpots benefit public schools in the state.

The California Lottery estimates it has raised about $48 million for schools so far through Mega Millions sales in the past three months alone.
