Iowa State will face No. 4 South Carolina in the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off for a Thanksgiving Day showdown. The Cyclones enter Sunday’s matchup following an 80-78 thriller against in-state foe Drake at Hilton Coliseum.

2 – Iowa State had two players on the Naismith Trophy Women’s College Player of the Year Watchlist earlier this season. Audi crooks And Emily Ryan were two of 50 college basketball players placed on the watch list. It is the second time Ryan has been included in the top 50 list and the first time Crooks has been added.

6 – Iowa State ranks sixth nationally in assists per game with 22.2 dimes per contest. The mark is third in the Big 12. ISU has handed out 25 or more assists in a game three times this season.

7 – Emily Ryan has finished seven games in her career with at least four assists and no turnovers. Ryan has accomplished this feat twice this season. She has recorded an assist/turnover ratio of 2.01 in 125 career games.

933 – The Cyclones have made at least one 3-point field goal in an NCAA women’s record 933 consecutive games, a streak that equates to total games Bill Fennelly era at Iowa State.

Crooks cook

Sophomore at Iowa State Audi crooks has garnered national attention as one of the most exciting post players in the country. Crooks has scored double-digit points in 37 straight games and has scored more than 20 points 20 times in her career. The 6-3 center scored a season-high 33 points against Drake (Nov. 24), including the game-winner with less than a second on the clock. She finished 15 of 25 from the floor. She also scored 22 points on 50 percent shooting from the floor and recorded her second double-double for UNI this season with 10 rebounds.

Crooks was one of the best players in NCAA Division I in field goal percentage last season, shooting nearly 58 percent from the floor. Crooks also made 100 field goals, including 10 against Baylor (January 13, 2024). With 258 marks, she holds the best mark in ISU history regardless of class.

She broke the Iowa State freshman record for field goals made in a season at Texas (Feb. 17). Crooks broke the single-season record against Maryland (March 22), regardless of class.

EMILY RYAN DISH TRIBUTION CENTER

Emily Ryan is one of Iowa State’s most productive point guards, posting career top-10 marks in assists, steals and blocks while ranking 34th in the programTh 1,000 scoring points in March 2023. The Claflin, Kansas native has recorded 836 assists and holds the all-time record in program history. She is the active NCAA women’s basketball leader in career assists, followed by Kentucky’s Georgia Amoore with 697 dimes.

The 5-11 guard has recorded a career assist/turnover ratio of 1.99. In 124 games, she has recorded assists in every single game (1-17), and has never finished a game with less than one assist. Ryan is ranked 29thTh for all-time NCAA DI women’s basketball supports leaders and is 103 cents out of the top 10.
