Thanksgiving open thread for Bears-Lions, Giants-Cowboys and Dolphins-Packers

How time flies as it seems like teams made their picks for the 2024 NFL Draft just a few weeks ago, but Thanksgiving was already six months ago after the draft. Still, the season is in full swing and there are only a handful of NFL football games left in November, starting with the trio of Thanksgiving Day games.

The action begins in the early slot as the Chicago Bears take on the Detroit Lions. The Lions have once again become one of the most feared teams in the NFL under head coach Dan Campbell and enter the game as 9.5-point favorites at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Once the Bears and Lions finish, fans can tune in to watch former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Drew Lock make his first start for the New York Giants, who travel to Texas to take on the Dallas Cowboys. FanDuel has the Cowboys as 3.5-point favorites, even though Dallas is 0-5 at home so far this season.

Finally, there will probably be the best game of the day in primetime: the resurgent Miami Dolphins will play against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Despite Miami’s recent resurgence, which enters the game with three straight wins, FanDuel has the Packers ahead by 3.5 points, with the over/under at 47.5 points. Green Bay is coming off a big win over the San Francisco 49ers and could be setting itself up for disappointment against the Dolphins. So you can expect Miami to win clearly and cover the difference while the two teams score enough points to hit the over.
